Description
This is my character Dahvin. He is half Malgan (Malga is a planet where men are treated as superior to women, leaving women with very few rights. I also have a planet called Fema, where women are treated as superior to men). He knows that he is also half Animan, but he does not know who his mother is. His father knows but will not tell him. Malgan men are the ones who become pregnant (the first Malgans were cursed to carry instead of the women, but they ended up embracing this curse instead), which brings the belief that carrying a child is the most honorable thing a Malgan man can do. Dahvin is slightly sexist as he is caught up in the traditional Malgan ways that he was raised in, but he lacks the full beliefs of male superiority as compared to other Malgan men. He has one wife (many Malgan men have many wives), who he is not in love with but finds her as a good companion. Dahvin is despised by his father who shows him little respect as his father finds him to be too "weak" and "feminine". Despite this, Dahvin is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of his father's very popular and successful car company because he "has an eye for business" and is great with finances and making deals. Dahvin was bullied and abused by his father and older brother and by other kids when he was a child. He attempted suicide at the age of 12. He now has poor eyesight, hearing, and cognitive abilities along with poor short term memory. He was in a car accident about 25 (ish) years ago and lost his right leg. He now has a prosthetic leg. Even more, he lost the only person he only found himself to be in love with. Before the car accident, Dahvin, his best friend Riko (who is one of the son's of the Head God of Malga), and his lover went into a downward spiral in the midst of a cocaine addiction. Riko was very high from cocaine/crack and while texting, lost control of the car. Dahvin does not hold any anger towards Riko because he told him that they "didn't have to get into the car." Dahvin also has asthma. Dahvin suffers with weight issues, and he sometimes falls into anorexia. Dahvin has had many unsuccessful pregnancies, and he has had one stillborn. Riko is very protective of Dahvin, and they are always around each other. Many people say that they have a bromance, which Riko purposely plays into. Riko and Dahvin are basically the opposite of each other, and Riko often times gets on Dahvin's nerves. Riko likes to describe Dahvin as "not knowing what he wants in life." Dahvin is around 100 years old. (Malgans have a longer life expectancy than humans, as do most of the species of people I have thought of)
